Clunes Ceramic Award Entries are now open
Guest Judge: Chris Weaver
Chris Weaver Chris is one of New Zealand's leading ceramicists, having graduated from Otago Polytechnic, Dunedin, in 1976 with a Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts with Distinction in Design and Sculpture and a Certificate in Ceramics
As an addition to the main exhibition this year, businesses in the main street of Clunes will host individual pieces from local ceramicists.
The Clunes Ceramic Award is an initiative of Creative Clunes Inc. and is in partnership with the Art Gallery of Ballarat and the Castlemaine Art Gallery and Historical Museum.
The winning artist's work will attract the total prize money of $10,000 contributed by the Hugh Williamson Foundation
This is an acquisitive prize. In 2019, the work will be acquired by the Art Gallery of Ballarat.
The Runner Up receives a prize of $2,500 contributed by Terry Cocks and Family
A People's Choice Award to the value of $2,500 will be awarded and announced close to the conclusion of the exhibition.
