The 2018 Clarence Valley plunge Art & Culture Festival runs from 28 March to 30 April and there is something for everyone - workshops, exhibitions, shows, talks, entertainment and music.
Amoung the many events, two potters, Steve Sessions and Geoff Crispin, will be opening their studios during this time.
Steve worked with Bill Samuels, Bob Cunningham Greg Rye and is a specialist in wood fired ceramics and has built several "Steve Harrison inspired" kilns both in Northern Queensland and in the Clarence Valley.

"My work reflects my pre-occupation with exploring and developing local raw materials wherever possible, trying to bring out and enhance their inherent qualities.
Current work is a synthesis of technology, raw materials and various production methods (throwing, slip casting and slab building). The pots combine a porcelain body (carved) with ash, blue and green celadon, copper red and chun glazes."
